This week’s featured claim is for Maisey Rae the Chocolate Labrador Retriever dog who was diagnosed with hip dysplasia. Maisey is just a year old and began displaying symptoms of the condition a few months ago.
Hip dysplasia is a condition in which the hip bones do not properly develop so that the “ball in socket” joint is very loosely formed. Ultimately, it causes the afflicted animal pain and possible arthritis. Maisey needed hip replacement surgery but her outlook is positive and she can continue to enjoy her youth and the rest of her life!
